Industrial Wax Insights for Better Formulations

Packaging wax can help tailor the performance of paper and board, but a successful coating must do more than resist moisture on a flat laboratory sample. It also needs to suit the substrate, application

Choosing a paraffin wax grade is a production decision, not simply a price comparison. Oil content, melting behaviour and consistency can all influence the way a coating, polish, candle or adhesive blend performs. At

Carnauba wax is well known for its hardness and its contribution to gloss in formulated products. For an industrial buyer, however, those familiar properties are only the beginning of the selection process. The grade,

Polyethylene wax can play an important supporting role in plastics processing, but choosing a grade by name alone is not enough. The polymer, pigment package, equipment and finished-product requirements all influence whether a candidate

In the speciality chemicals industry, quality should never be left to chance. As a company we have built our reputation on delivering speciality waxes, customised blends and formulated products that customers can depend on.

Oxidised wax is a functional wax whose chemistry has been modified to introduce polar groups. That additional polarity can improve emulsifiability, compatibility, lubrication, release and surface-protection behaviour in selected industrial systems. The term covers

Micronised wax is a fine wax powder used to modify the surface and mechanical performance of coatings, printing inks and related formulations. When the grade is correctly matched to the system, it can improve

Wax emulsions allow formulators to introduce useful wax properties into water-based or mixed systems without handling the wax as a hot bulk liquid. They are used in coatings, construction products, polishes, mould-release systems, concrete

Microcrystalline wax is selected when a formulation needs more flexibility, tack or oil-binding capacity than a conventional paraffin wax can provide. These properties make it a useful blend component in packaging, polishes, adhesives, coatings

Wax products are relied upon across a wide range of industries, including packaging, coatings, adhesives, and industrial applications. While selecting the right wax formulation is essential, many people overlook another critical factor: the environment
