Blasting solutions: wax blends and supply support
Cerax blasting solutions include wax blends for cartridge mining explosives and liquid rheology modifiers for bulk emulsion applications. Our focus is on supplying materials around a defined customer brief, with technical discussion and grade information available from the team.
The Cerapack range includes blends available in slab and pastille form. Cerax also offers tailor-made wax blends and liquid bulk rheology modifiers, sometimes described as viscosity improvers. Product suitability and availability should be confirmed for the specific enquiry.
Our blasting solutions page provides an overview for professional manufacturers and procurement teams. It is not a formulation, production or handling guide. Work with qualified specialists and the applicable product documentation for any assessment involving regulated materials.

Five essential questions for a better supply brief
1. Which Cerax product range should I ask about?
Identify whether your enquiry relates to the Cerapack wax blend range or to a liquid rheology modifier. If you have an existing Cerax grade reference, include it. This helps the team direct your enquiry without assuming that materials from different ranges are interchangeable.
2. Which documents should I request?
Ask for the current technical data sheet and safety data sheet for the proposed grade. Confirm the product name and document version. The information should match the actual material under discussion rather than a general family description or an older document from another supplier.
For general terminology, IUPAC provides a definition of an emulsion. This background reference does not establish the suitability of a Cerax grade or replace product-specific documentation.
3. What commercial details help the team respond?
Include your company, country, preferred product form and expected purchasing volume. Explain whether you need information about an existing grade or wish to open a custom supply discussion. Any packaging, minimum-order, delivery or availability requirements should be confirmed directly with Cerax.
4. Can I enquire about a bespoke blend?
Yes. Cerax offers custom blend enquiries around customer specifications. Start with the documented material requirements and the commercial scope of your project. The team can discuss what information is needed and whether the enquiry falls within the available capabilities.
A custom enquiry does not mean that a grade is already approved for your application. Product assessment and any relevant approvals remain part of the professional customer evaluation.
5. What should be confirmed before ordering?
Confirm the exact grade reference, current technical and safety documentation, physical form and agreed supply details. Keep these aligned between the technical and purchasing teams. A broad description such as “wax blend” is not enough to identify an approved material for an order.
If your requirements change, discuss them with Cerax rather than assuming an earlier recommendation applies to the new brief. This keeps the blasting solutions enquiry tied to the actual product and documented requirements.
Explore the supporting wax range
Browse wax blends for the broader blend offering and specialised wax products for application-led options. These pages help explain the range but should not be read as confirmation of suitability for regulated applications.
To discuss blasting solutions with Cerax, contact the team. Include the product reference or enquiry type, company details and your request for the relevant documents. Cerax can then address the commercial and material-information questions for your brief.
A concise enquiry checklist
- Identify the material: state the existing grade reference, or say clearly that this is a new enquiry rather than a repeat order.
- Identify the request: explain whether you need technical documents, a commercial quotation or an introduction to the appropriate technical contact.
- Identify the purchasing context: provide your organisation, destination and expected volume so the supply discussion can be directed appropriately.
Keep sensitive formulation information out of a general website message. Ask the Cerax team how any confidential technical documents should be shared before sending them.
